Work in progress…

June 28, 2010

So far this month my knitting has consisted of various mini projects for Yarn Forward, but I’m excited about working on a new set of patterns for the mag over the next couple of months….

First up, a rather unexciting attempt at a stole in Rowan Kidsilk Aura. This yarn is soft, luxurious, silky….and an absolute bugger to knit with! I am tempted to frog this but the though of unpicking it is killing me. Ah well.

Now, far more positive progress…

…the makings of a bottom-up baby’s cardigan made in Rowan Silk Wool DK, which is one of my favourite yarns at the moment as it’s soft, warm, has a nice sheen, and shows up moss stitch perfectly. This is a commission for a friend’s niece, due in July – so I’d better get cracking!
